Introducing Family Sharing: Share Your Child's Calendar with Your Partner

A family gathered around a fire pit, warming their hands together in a cozy evening scene.

Parenting is rarely a solo act.

Yet most family apps are designed as if one person does everything — one phone, one account, one person keeping track of the vaccination appointment, the birthday party, the school visit.

Momena now supports Family Sharing.

What it does

With Family Sharing, Momena Plus members can share their child's calendar with other family members — a partner, a co-parent, a grandparent, anyone in your Apple Family Sharing group.

They see the same events. The same appointments. The same reminders.

No more "I didn't know about that appointment." No more duplicate entries. No more missed school events because only one parent had it in their phone.

What it doesn't do (yet)

We want to be transparent about scope. Right now, Family Sharing covers the calendar only. Memories, health records, and milestones are not shared — they stay private on your device.

We're building carefully. Sharing sensitive data like health records across devices requires getting privacy and security right before shipping. That work is ongoing. Calendar felt like the right place to start — it's the most collaborative part of family life.

More categories are coming. We'll announce them as they're ready.

Who can use it

Family Sharing is available to Momena Plus subscribers. If you have an active Momena Plus subscription, you can enable it from Settings → Family Sharing.

Your family members need to be part of your Apple Family Sharing group. They don't need a separate Momena Plus subscription — your subscription covers the shared access.

Still private, still local

Shared calendar data is synced through iCloud — your own iCloud account, not ours. We don't have access to it. It's encrypted in transit and at rest.

This is how we think about every feature we build: useful for families, private by design.
